Hello!

We are Kimberly and Christine, two moms who met in the early stages of parenthood and bonded over parenting fails and the monotony of reading the same bedtime story a million times as well as the joy of finding a beautiful, inclusive and well written book that our kids also enjoyed.

In 2020, when we learned of the killing of George Floyd, our conversations began to include how and when to discuss this event with our kids, and what we could do to make our community better. Around the same time, our close friend Daria Peoples’ book, America, My Love, America, My Heart, was scheduled to be released in the spring of 2021. It’s a beautifully lyrical book posing a question from an elementary school child about race, belonging, and identity in America.  As avid readers, we knew books were a great way to explore the world, build empathy, and understand other perspectives. We couldn’t find any relatable, convenient, family friendly tools and activities that helped families start conversations about life topics. Since we couldn’t find anything we created booklove with the guiding belief that books can be a springboard to help families navigate life’s challenges in order to raise kind and compassionate kids.

We hope families will Read.Grow.Love with Spotlight Boxes, Book Bundles, and Book Subscriptions.
